Teenager arrested after biting police officer

A police officer (42) was bitten on the stomach by a teen suspect at Oshihole village in the Onesi constituency on Saturday.

This was confirmed by police spokesperson Kauna Shikwambi in the weekend crime report.

The suspect (19) was arrested on the same day at around 17h00, after the officer sustained a laceration as a result of the bite.

“The suspect resisted the order of the police officer while executing his duties,” Shikwambi said.

The suspect appeared in the Outapi Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
