A man (39) at Oshifukwa village in the Oshikoto region has been arrested for allegedly killing his girlfriend.
The incident happened at around 17h00 last Thursday.
The suspect, who cannot be named as he is yet to appear in court, approached his girlfriend, Martha Aron (35), who reportedly said she wanted to end the 11-month relationship.
He asked if they could resolve matters, but Aron reportedly refused.
“The suspect then threw a glass at Aron, he further took a kitchen knife from his car and stabbed Aron four times, resulting in her death,” says Oshikoto police regional commander Theopoline Kalompo-Nashikaku.
The suspect, who initially fled the scene, will appear in the Ondangwa Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
