Swapo vice president Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah says the party will launch its manifesto on 14 September.
“All party leaders must be present in all regions and all candidates must ge present in all the regions, because together with the manifesto, we have to introduce to the nation the people we are intending to take to the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) for them to be gazetted,” she says.
“The main event will be here in Windhoek, where yours truly will launch the document,” Nandi-Ndaitwah says.
She also urges those who have made it to the parliamentary list to work harder.
“The next task is obvious. We must get out of here and convince the Namibian people to vote for Swapo. You know the programmes that you are going to sell. We were only aware of our presidential candidate but today the list is complete,” she says.
Nandi-Ndaitwah has slammed The Namibian’s report titled ‘Democracy on Sale’ which broke down the funds the party received via donations.
“We won’t sell this party, not under my leadership. It will not happen. Those who want to safeguard this country, make your donation to Swapo and don’t ask for anything. Those are the detractors. They want to make us feel guilty. Go and audit those companies, and you see,” she says.
