Swapo condemns terrorist attacks on Moscow

Sophia Shaningwa

Swapo has learnt with great shock and dismay about the

heinous terrorist attacks carried out against the people of the Russian

Federation in general and residents of Moscow in particular on 22 March 2024.

The acts of terrorism as reported resulted in the killing of about 93

civilians and injuries to over 100.

The collective leadership of Swapo and its entire rank and file

condemn in the strongest possible terms the killing of unarmed civilians of the Russian Federation by terrorists and assailants who wish to threaten the peace and stability of the Russian Federation by targeting innocent civilians.

Under no circumstances should those who differ with the leadership of the Russian Federation and its ideological position resort to the killing of innocent and unarmed Russian citizens.

It is our hope that all the criminals who are involved in these shameful and inhumane attacks are apprehended to account for the immeasurable pain and despair caused to the people of the Russian Federation and their families.

We equally condemn countries, organisations or individuals who

are complicit in harbouring terrorists, enabling them to commit such

despicable crimes against humanity. Swapo strongly stands with the people of Russia during this extremely difficult time.

On behalf of Swapo leadership, its entire rank and file and

indeed on my own behalf, it is with humility and utmost respect that I

henceforth extend our sincere condolences and deepest sympathies to the people of the Russian Federation and to all the families who lost their loved ones in this terrorist attack.

We pray for a speedy recovery for those who are injured and are now receiving treatment.
