A boy (15) died in his classroom at the Swakopmund Secondary School on Wednesday.

Erongo police spokesperson inspector Ileni Shapumba said the police received a report on the incident and the matter is being investigated.

“It’s not clear to us what happened there,” he said.

Erongo education director Ernfriede Stepahnus said: “At this stage, allow us to calm the situation and get a full report as to what happened,” said Stepahnus, who noted that other pupils have been traumatised by the incident.
