GERMINA Shitaleni was elected Mayor and Chairperson of Swakopmund’s Management Committee at a Town Council meeting last month.
Paul Rooi was elected deputy mayor and vice-chairperson of the Management Committee.Johannes Ngolombe, Rosina //Hoabes, Priscilla Kavita and Trofimus Shikongo are the other Council members for 2009/2010. All the Town Councillors are Swapo Party members.The elections were conducted by Swakopmund Magistrate Gaynor Paulton in the presence of Erongo Governor Samuel Nuuyoma.
