AN ALLEGED falsified car license disc discovered on the vehicle of Namibia’s multi-award winning musician, Martin Morocky (20) aka ‘The Dogg’ near Swakopmund last December, is forcing him to return to Namibia’s prime holiday destination for the wrong reasons: to stand trial on a charge of forgery.
Morocky recently appeared before Swakopmund Magistrate Hanellie Prinsloo to face the music but the matter was postponed to the end of May because statements from a witness from the Namibia Traffic Information Systems (NaTIS) and a witness form the Roads Authority (RA) are still outstanding. The kwaito-star allegedly bought a dark blue second hand Volkswagen Combi (N12295W) from a private seller about a year ago. In December, the driver of the vehicle was pulled off the road by RA officers because the vehicle was allegedly not roadworthy. Morocky was apparently a passenger then, but he was identified as the owner. A quick check revealed that the license disc had allegedly been forged. ‘The Dogg’ was arrested and made his first appearance just before the New Year when he was released on N$1 000 bail.In the meantime, the Combi was impounded and is now parked in the yard of the Swakopmund Police Station.
