Suspected Namibian drug mule to appear in Johannesburg court on 26 February

The Namibian woman who was arrested at a South African airport last September will make her fourth court appearance in February.

Pauline Mbangula (30) was arrested at OR Tambo International Airport for allegedly smuggling over 68 cocaine bullets in her stomach.

She will appear in a Johannesburg court on 26 February, NBC reports.

The authorities have been given time to confirm the type of drugs found on Mbangula, while she has also been granted time to secure legal representation.

She is currently held in pretrial detention at Johannesburg Correctional Facility.

The court will determine on 26 February whether Mbangula has obtained a lawyer to proceed with her case.
