Support For Pandeni Probe

I AM writing to support the writer of the article titled ‘Call to probe Pandeni’s Ministry’.The Ministry of Regional and Local Government, Housing and Rural Development is one of the biggest and most important ministries in terms of alleviating poverty at the grassroots level.

However, as was said by the earlier writer, this Ministry is number one in stifling development in many ways. For example, I would like to know which law/authority does the Ministry use to demand to chair certain interviews at local authorities and regional councils, especially the Municipality of Tsumeb? I am specifically referring to the interview for chief executive officer at Tsumeb.I also question the interviewing of chief regional officers and directors at the 13 regions.Who is to be blame then when things go wrong at regional and local authorities? Is this what you call bringing development to the grassroots level? Can the Ministry, especially the deputy permanent secretary, give her version surrounding the events of the Tsumeb interview?
