WINDHOEK police are investigating a case of attempted murder after a pupil at Centaurus High School was shot in the thigh in a school restroom.

According to the victim, 22-year-old Mario Kuvalela, he was with a fellow pupil when they found a pistol in the toilet. They apparently tried to take the gun to a security guard working on the school premises, to whom it belonged, when a shot went off.No charges have been laid yet, but Police say they are looking into charges of attempted murder and negligent handling of a firearm because the guard failed to keep the pistol in a safe place. They apparently tried to take the gun to a security guard working on the school premises, to whom it belonged, when a shot went off.No charges have been laid yet, but Police say they are looking into charges of attempted murder and negligent handling of a firearm because the guard failed to keep the pistol in a safe place.
