WINDHOEK – The Secretary General of Tanzania’s Chama Cha Mapinduzi Party, Philip Mangula, yesterday told Prime Minister Theo-Ben Gurirab about his party’s plan to initiate a project aimed at preserving the history of the struggle for independence in the SADC region.
Philip Mangula paid a courtesy call on Gurirab. The project will start with the struggle from 1960 onwards and would take the form of books, films, archives and museums.”There are generations passing and generations coming, so we have to preserve the spirit and memories of the liberation struggle beforehand,” he said, adding that flag of independence was there, but that was not the end.- NampaThe project will start with the struggle from 1960 onwards and would take the form of books, films, archives and museums.”There are generations passing and generations coming, so we have to preserve the spirit and memories of the liberation struggle beforehand,” he said, adding that flag of independence was there, but that was not the end.- Nampa
