Seven radio presenters from Shipi FM at Ondangwa have returned to work after staging a protest on Thursday.
The presenters called for the reinstatement of Gustav Sheehama, also known as DJ Gee. Sheehama and the radio presenters claim he was unfairly dismissed, however, radio station owner Martin Shipanga says Sheehama has been retrenched.
During the demonstration, the presenters told journalists that they would not return to work until Sheehama was reinstated. Sheehama has since been substituted by a former employee of Shipi FM.
One of the employees told The Namibian on Friday morning that they returned to work after being advised to do so by officials from the Ministry of Labour, Industrial Relations and Employment Creation on Thursday.
