Dear Burger Movement, John McNab entity and local leaders
I am astonished to see that as such presumptuous leaders you fail to see the state that the Rehoboth inhabitants find themselves in. This state is not a state of unity nor is it disunity, if you look just an inch closer you will see that they are indifferent. Indifferent to the court case you are planning and indifferent to this public fight that you are indulging in. Yes, indeed they are indifferent to the concerns that you raise e.g. land issues, elections and all the political jargon. For them the difference between Swapo and DTA is that the latter was the master of an age where free education was not just loose talk. The current government on the other hand is a nightmare because their land is stolen under the pretext of Article 21 (1) (g) the right to move freely throughout Namibia. Yes, the Rehoboth Baster nation is a household that is broken up by ‘adopted children’. If Rehoboth Basters had more to lose there would have been a civil war. Rehoboth town council find themselves in a state of wishful thinking. I will list a few things you and the town council should try and find time to go and look at. •Reho Spa and Swimming pool, have you noticed that speed of deterioration within these 18 years of independence? •Rehoboth state clinic, have you been there for at least 10 minutes the past years? Have you noticed how vulnerable pensioners are treated and the Swapo government still has the audacity to include better healthcare in their manifesto. How will they change this in the next five years if they couldn’t in the past 19?•Have you ever been to your local police station on a regular month end, and have you seen the prejudice women and children have to deal with? How will RDP change this, when they could not even speak up strongly enough when they were in Swapo. •Perhaps the president should drive back to Block E taking the road past Drop Inn in order to evaluate their 2004 Manifesto. Local leaders have you seen the many mothers sitting with their infants in front the local bars drunk? Leaders and Swapo representatives rather improve this town. Mr. John McNab and co, the town hall was built with Rehoboth Basters’ money and it speaks volumes of your leadership calibre if Mr. Dax still carries the key? Politics is a perhaps a game, but cheating should not be a factor. You say the Rehoboth nation is a family, but why do you as the parents fight in front of the children. You should keep your fights for the bedroom and keep a united front for the children’s sake. My point if you don’t mind is this fight for unity has become stale and is not in the interests of the Rehoboth nation. It is a personal vendetta against one other and you should consult your morals for the best solution, be it giving up your pretty piece of land or your self-righteous attitude.
