State of jobs in the Karas Region

KEETMANSHOOP – The labour force participation rate for the Karas Region is almost 74 per cent with hardly any differences in urban and rural areas according to the 2001 Population and Housing Census report.

According to the Karas Regional Constituency comparison report of the census released yesterday, Oranjemund has the highest labour force participation rate at 86,3 per cent followed closely by the Luderitz constituency at 84 per cent.
