The St George’s Prep and College students donated N$10 000 to the Dare to Care drought relief fund recently.

With the Grade 1E class is Roelie Venter, executive manager of the Namibia Agricultural Union (NAU); Dr Ndahafa Nghifindaka, president of the Namibia Emerging Commercial Farmers Union (NECFU); Berdine Beukes, executive head of St George’s Diocesan School, and NECFU executive manager Daniel Mahua. The Dare to Care drought relief fund is an initiative of both the NAU and NECFU for soliciting donations to enable farmers in the country to buy livestock and game feed at subsidised prices. This fund was established earlier this year. Significant progress has since been made to reach the target of N$10 million.
