THE Namibian men’s squash team has qualified to participate in the World Teams Squash Cham- pionship in Paderborn, Germany, in August.
The tournament will run from August 21 until 27.This is the first time a Namibian team has had the opportunity to participate in this world- class event, which is essentially the world cup of squash. The following team members have been se- lected to represent Namibia at this prestigious event: Marco Becker, Andrew Forrest, Angelo Titus, Norbert Dorgeloh, Tyc Kakehongo, and Archie Botha.’As with all international events, funding is a difficulty in making participation in an event like this possible, and with this in mind, each player has been requested to raise a minimum amount of N$5 000 as a contribution towards the team’s travelling and participation expenses,’ said Namibia Squash Association chairperson Adri Lambert.’We would appreciate any amount you would be willing to sponsor to the players to help make this tour successful and financially viable.’
