THE Sarah Coetzee Christmas Football Cup will be held at the Hosea Kutako International Airport over the weekend.

The total prize money is N$8 000. The winners will receive N$4 000, runners-up N$2 000 and the semi-final losers N$800 each.The entry fee per team is N$650.For more information, contact Boois at 081 260 7665, Clifton at 081 223 9096, Ali at 081 280 1245 or Kallie at 081 298 6164 respectively.Ultra triathlon at Swakop THE Namibia Triathlon Federation will host the Puma Swakop Ultra Triathlon in Swakopmund on December 9.The swim will take place in the sea at the Mole, the cycling section is on the Walvis Bay road and back and the run is within Swakopmund.The Ultra is a 1.9-kilometre swim, a 90-km cycle and a 21-km run.Athletes can participate as individuals or in teams.Puma is the main sponsor of the race.Prizes for teams and individuals will consist of Puma gift vouchers which can be exchanged for top-of-the-range Puma running shoes and fitness apparel.Toktokkie Trails sponsors a special prize for the first Namibian.There will also be a standard event which consists of a 1.5-km swim, a 40-km cycle and a 10-km run.Only individuals can win prizes in this event, as teams are encouraged to take part in the ultra event.Race registration will take place at 46 Riverside Ave, Kramersdorf, Swakopmund on Friday, December 8 from 16h30 to 18h00.The briefing takes place at 18h00.The prize-giving event is sponsored by the Swakop Hotel and Entertainment Centre and will take place in the evening at 18h00.There will also be a kids’ triathlon at 11h00 on December 9 as well as the Andrew O’Shann Cancer Awareness Fun Run over 5 km or a 10-km walk.Football coaching courses at coast A B Level Coaching Course in football will be held at the Swakopmund Youth Hostel from December 2 to 16.The instructor of the course, Detlev Bruggemann, will arrive in Namibia tomorrow to conduct the course.The opening ceremony will take place at the same venue on Saturday, and is scheduled for 08h30.The course will be attended by 30 teachers and coaches who have already completed their C Licence course at the same venue in May this year.Coaching courses of a similar nature were already held in Windhoek, twice, Oshakati and Rundu.Meanwhile, three Namibian coaches recently also attended a Fifa Instructors’ Refresher Course in Mozambique from November 18.They were Max Johnson, Bernard Kaanjuka and Brian Isaacs.The winners will receive N$4 000, runners-up N$2 000 and the semi-final losers N$800 each.The entry fee per team is N$650.For more information, contact Boois at 081 260 7665, Clifton at 081 223 9096, Ali at 081 280 1245 or Kallie at 081 298 6164 respectively.
