National Assembly speaker Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila has called on Namibians to break the cycle of violence by seeking help and choosing the path of life.

She said this during a visit to the family of Regina Kondombolo at Otjomuise on Sunday, following Kondombolo’s murder last week.

In her message of condolences, Kuugongelwa-Amadhila said such violence represents a dark trend that has no place in Namibia.

“In the face of conflict, anger or despair, we must always choose the path of life,” she said.

She urged anyone experiencing emotional turmoil or stress to seek professional support.

She said counsellors, social workers, faith-based organisations, and healthcare professionals are available to help those in need.

Kuugongelwa-Amadhila said fostering a culture where people talk through problems and value life is critical to ending violence in communities nationwide.
