Spa reopens at Walvis Bay

Shida’s Beauty spa recently reopened in Spring Court at Walvis Bay.

The spa shut its doors a few years ago due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Founder Conshida Schroeder, a former model, says the new spa is bigger and offers new treatments, such as individual lashes, Thai massage, micro-shading and advanced facials.

Older services, including acrylic and gel nails, biomedical chemical peels, facials, massages, waxing, microblading and callus peels are still available, she says.

Schroeder says the shop serves as a reminder to never give up.

“I’m truly blessed with lovely clients who support me unconditionally – no matter where my treatment room is. I can’t wait to make it more elegant for my clients to come and indulge.

“It’s been a tough journey, but I thank the Almighty for my new office,” she says.

Schroeder says venturing into this business has taught her that life is full of lessons every day, and to always be patient.

“Working in this industry has taught me who I surround myself with plays a big role.

“I try my best to stay away from negative energy. In the new year there is no time to waste. I will be focused on my happiness, business and my child,” she says.

Schroeder says her motto in life is to always think big.

She says her business motivates her to take risks and has made her stronger and ready for more success.

“As a single mom I have my hands full, but I’m more focused on making my business stable. I hope I can inspire other young girls to never give up on their dreams.

“I want them to learn to ignore outside noise,” she says.

Schroeder received her microblading training in Cape Town at UBI and Skincare, masseuse and nail technician.

Apart from the new shop, she says her focus is on advanced skincare.
