THE Karas Regional Police Chief, Deputy Commissioner Josephat Abel, is facing a charge of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
Trial-awaiting suspect Albert Rooi, who is in custody on charges of malicious damage to property, theft and resisting arrest, laid an assault charge against Abel on September 29.
