Some phone services to be cut on Sunday

TELECOM Namibia has warned that telephone service will be cut to some 400 residential and business customers in most of Windhoek and suburbs this Sunday.

Those customers will be unable to make or receive calls from 07h00 until midnight. The Head of Corporate Communications, Ferdinand Tjombe, said customers affected would include both the Multi-Gain Wireless (MGW) and the Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunication (DECT) systems installed on the Rocky Crest Tower.The outage will occur as telecommunications equipment is moved in order to improve the reliability of service.Tjombe suggested that any complaints or problems associated with the outage should be reported to the customer service centre on 1155.The Head of Corporate Communications, Ferdinand Tjombe, said customers affected would include both the Multi-Gain Wireless (MGW) and the Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunication (DECT) systems installed on the Rocky Crest Tower.
