A 25-year-old soldier has been arrested in connection with the murder of a man whose body was found with missing testicles, the Oshana police have confirmed.
Regional police spokesperson inspector Frieda Hashiyana says the suspect, who is yet to appear in court, was arrested at Ondangwa on Monday.
“A 25-year-old soldier has been arrested in connection with this case,” she says, adding that investigations are continuing and further arrests have not been ruled out.
The body was found in a water pan on Sunday morning.
The deceased was later identified as Salom Nikanor, a 41-year-old resident of Okakwiyu village in the Onethindi area.
His next of kin have since been informed.
