SOE Bill public hearing

WINDHOEK A National Council Select Committee will hold a three-day public hearing on the State-Owned Enterprises Bill (SOE) in two weeks’ time.

The Select Committee is expected to receive comments on the following sections of the bill: Section 3: Constitution of Council, Section 4: functions of the Council, Section 14: Council’s function in relation to boards of SOEs, Section 15: procedure for appointment of board members and alternate board members of the SOEs, Section 22: remuneration of board members and management staff of SOEs, and Section 27: obligations concerning investments.
