SMS Of The Day
*NAMIBIANS, life is going from bad to worse. Government is torturing the poor population. We need new leaders. Do not forget this when voting again!
Food for Thought*I WANT GRN to change our law on speeding as follows; charge the passengers as well to make them the eyes of the law. If they say we talked to him then you must add all those amounts to the driver’s penalty, simple. Bouquets and Brickbats*I salute the two men who exposed in the newspaper of last week how we men are being emotionally abused by women. Namely the scandal of the never existing twin pregnancy, and the story of a woman who left the husband in the room and went to cheat with the neighbour. These two stories are just the tip of ice-berg about how unfaithful Namibian women are. Fellow Namibian men, let us expose these ladies and not kill them or ourselves as it will only lead us into long prison sentences and unnecessary shortening of our valuable lives. Viva expose, Viva Namibian men!- Ngatjaande, Outapi *FANIE on NBC National Radio please stop Mario from bullying and insulting you on the morning show that you co-host. Why do you allow him to make fun of your age and to associate you with Viagra and talk about parts of you that don’t rise any more? Most of his sick jokes are directed at you and sometimes at women whom he also has an obsession with. I don’t think he will have much to say the day that you will leave the programme. It is you and Toni who say sensible things on the show. I have great respect for you, Fanie. *COMMISSIONER Fetus Shilongo and staff, thanks for the visit to Groot-Aub. We hope the police will pull up their socks. *CIS Security Company, we are tired of poor service. The company is very big but it only has two small bakkies transporting more than 200 guards. Night shift reaches home only by 12h00. We want N$5 per hour like other companies please.*OUR radio stations are disapointing me these days, especially the morning programmes. Now I’m forced to lìsten to 102.9 and we all know wat they play. Spare us! Service Please*FNB, please be realistic with your In-Contact-Service. Why is it that when we deposit or withdraw any amount on our account, you report it right away, but when you deduct your service fees you don’t report right away. It only appears in a monthly bank statement thereafter. Please report full information.
*NHE and Standard Bank housing project in Otjomuise, we are tired of waiting for those houses that cannot get finished since 2011. A certain deduction has already been effected by Standard Bank from our bank accounts before we’ve occupied the houses and yet we are still renting accommodation. Please speed up your process. You are too slow. We want to move into those houses this year, we are tired of empty promises.*MTC shop at Standmitte Swakopmund gives poor slow service. How can you have only one pay point where we have credit. Open another shop in Vineta or Mondesa please.*MINISTRY of Home Affairs, how on earth can an unemployed mother pay N$2 000 for her ID correction if your staff are not responsible for their mistakes. When will Namibia learn from this? How can an ID have someone’s face but a different name and you decide a person who wants that corrected must pay N$2 000? She is a mother and she needs her ID to get access to the benefits of this country. For her children it’s even more difficult to get even a Government loan to study since they don’t have full birth certificates, and even to get government’s orphan grant. Please Namibia, this is very wrong. *PLEASE City Police help us. Those Iveco busses at Okalindi in Windhoek overcharge their customers from Windhoek to Oshakati. We pay N$200 without luggage.
*IT IS so sad and depressing when you walk into Home Affairs offices situated in Independence Avenue. It’s like walking into a kraal were cattle are farmed. No order, poor air ventilation, lack of clear and concise instruction to show you were to line up. Yet it is the main office? The staff there even don’t know proper/friendly customer service. Guys seriously, its an embarrassment to us as Namibians. WAKE UP!Politics*THE ruling party central committee endorses only men. Women of Namibia, we have a long way to go. Our party has lost vision and focus. *COMRADE Ngurare, we will always love you. Never give up. Let them talk. – Stevo! *RDP has the chance to shake the status quo of the current government. Clearly the voter is very unhappy and unsatisfied with the current leadership, but they (RDP) have a wrong approach when campaigning. Be creative and stop telling us where they failed, what can you do? *IT IS my humble advice that the presidential candidates appoint campaign teams to assist them to work on various topics of national interest, to convince the electorate to vote for them. *WHENEVER I SMS defending SPYL, my SMSes are not published! Even this one, I know will not published, I repeat it again that the SPYL are the shooting stars of today! The writing is on the wall for everybody to read, viva SPYL! *I’M a Namibian youth who was born in Namibia. I am not happy with the article that said that all GRN vacancies be reserved to youth born in exile. Does it mean that this up-coming election only those who were born in exile must vote? My question is why should we vote and what are we voting for? *EVERYBODY is crying for land. But do the math: Our population is growing rapidly but the useable land is getting less due to desertification. Even if we take all the land from the whites it will not be enough. We need to find new ways to sustain our families. Government should change their approach instead of using this topic to collect votes.
*McHENRY Venaani, can you please establish a political party for us who were not abroad. We are suffering a lot. Money and jobs are just for ex fighters and their kids, what about us? Please do something my brother, we are behind you.
Civil Servants*THEY increased medical contributions of public servants but no salary increase… This is only making matters worse. *DID you know, a Namibian police commissioner’s monthly housing allowance alone is greater than a constable’s monthly salary of N$3 500. And still they want more… *PERMANENT Secretary of the Ministry of Works and Transport, why should you stop the staff members from working overtime? Do you know the backlog at the finance division? Or should only certain people benefit through S&T advances for travelling abroad? *MATERNITY leave is leave without pay. If one’s bonus falls during your maternity leave it is not paid. Is a bonus part of the salary which stops during the maternity leave? What should we do? No more kids or what? – Worried, Outapi In and From the Regions*WE are suffering here at Owukwa Wananyanga. We don’t have water. The taps are just at one point. We stand in a queue for three hours just waiting for a chance. We are suffering. Please town council, install more taps. We are crying here. *STOCK theft around Omaruru is rife. Police seem slow and unable to crack the syndicate. They need more informants in Ozondje (Omaruru location) where people trade in meat products of which the origin is unknown. Lost and Found*I, Beatha V Nakale lost my ID in Onandjaba. If found, please return to Mr Tsotso at Haudano Secondary School or call 0812688919. *I am looking for a UNO FIAT to buy for about N$12 000 or less.
