Bank Windhoek last week hosted 20 established and aspiring small and medium entrepreneurs (SMEs) from diverse sectors for an information session in which they discussed challenges they face.
The event was held in partnership with the City of Windhoek at the Bokamoso Training Centre in Windhoek on 8 April and it brought together participants from education, beauty, retail, art and other sectors.
Bank Windhoek head of SME and financial and data analytics Bianca Janse van Vuuren says the session also explored collaborative solutions to the challenges.
“These open discussions are a key part of Bank Windhoek’s role as a connector of positive change, aiming to guide each SME towards accessing the financial products needed for sustainable growth,” she said.
Mobile Architectural and Photography Services founder Thomas Nangonja shared his vision of empowering youth aspiring to reach a larger scale through skills transfer.
Bank Windhoek administration and collections manager Clarissa Huisamen noted that this session, a first for such engagements, was very successful due to the engagement and valuable feedback from SMEs.
