Slickartie to kick off Easter weekend with acoustic concert

Self-taught Zimbabwean singer, songwriter and percussionist Slickartie, born Artwell Neusu, is inspired by life experiences. He fuses genres with Afro-soul harmonies to produce an eccentric sensational vibe.

A vibrant collaborative performer, Slickartie was a lead vocalist of Savannah Afros and the Afrolove band and has also worked with various artists, such as Evans Mapfumo, Pah Chihera and Blavance in Zimbabwe as well as Elemotho and Daena Weeks in Namibia, as a backing vocalist.

He has been invited to perform at various international festivals, such as the Bergen Afro Arts Festival in 2016 representing Namibia.

He will take to the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre (FNCC) stage on Thursday, 29 March at 20h00 to kick off the Easter weekend. Tickets are available from the FNCC in advance and at the door.
