SKW Gymnastics Academy to offer basic rhythmic course

SKW Gymnastics Academy is organising an introductory course for rhythmic gymnastics for parents or other interested persons.

The course will be sponsored by First National Bank of Namibia and participation is free. Anyone interested can attend the course either on Tuesday, February 27 or on Wednesday, March 7 from 17h15 until 19h00 at the small SKW hall in Olympia.National judge Inke Stoldt will present the course and explain the basics of body movements, apparatus handling and judging.Furthermore, SKW Gymnastics Academy has nominated several gymnasts for the SKW Sports Award Ceremony on Friday, February 23.Nominees are – for the category Team of the Year – the Ball Group with Nadja Reichstein, Bianka Trossbach, Maike Brandt and Aldi Truter.In 2006, the ball group won all competitions in Namibia and South Africa.As second team, the Namibian national junior team to the African Championships, consisting of Nicole Bierbach and Mirja Stoldt, was nominated.They won a silver medal in the team event and are nominees for the category Sportswoman of the Year as well.Anyone interested can attend the course either on Tuesday, February 27 or on Wednesday, March 7 from 17h15 until 19h00 at the small SKW hall in Olympia.National judge Inke Stoldt will present the course and explain the basics of body movements, apparatus handling and judging.Furthermore, SKW Gymnastics Academy has nominated several gymnasts for the SKW Sports Award Ceremony on Friday, February 23.
