While couples are going to be celebrating their love with romantic dinners and strolls along the beach, worldwide, singletons who are not bae’d up yet have their own plans for Valentine’s Day. Maybe next year will bring something new. But until then, perhaps catching up on series doesn’t seem like such a bad idea. The Weekender asked their readers what their plans for V-Day are.
Joyce Kamuzeri
My plan for Valentine’s Day is to take my friend out.
Undjee Reggie Zaire
My plan is to Netflix and chill with my three cats.
Edwin Samule
Dress all black, go to church, come back home, dress all white and wish everyone a happy Valentine’s Day while on my way to the usual drinking game at Willy’s Bar.
Nashivela Simon
I will be just be busy studying for my tests in advance.
Nehemia Smiley Joseph
Drink, drink and drink. Oh, and buy myself kapana. While at it, I will take pictures and WhatsApp my ex with a caption “this could be us, but you want a loyal guy”.
Comfort Itunu Ajibola
I have Jesus Christ, I don’t need a Valentine! I’ll go to church, come home and then go out with the ladies. Paint Windhoek with love, laughter and happiness then go home and sleep!
Andreas Shuumbwa
Watch soccer.
Lu Na
My plan for Valentine’s Day is to go eat out at a nice place, read a book in the park, come home and watch a few movies. I would also like to take an evening walk to enjoy the sunset (if it doesn’t rain), then come home, enjoy a nice bottle of wine and watch more movies. Oh, and give a sad stranger a hug and candy just because I can.
Salom Dacosta Kalou Mbinga
Go out and chill with friends or just stay home.
Ukaa Mau
Walk into a shop and buy myself a bunch of Valentine’s snacks or go home and watch series. It will be a Valentine’s Day well spent!
Hedwig Ndokosho Deedee
It’s Sunday, so basically preparing for work and catching up or rewatching all my favourite gothic and somewhat contemporary TV shows and movies.
Precious Angie Kawana
I will be going to church as usual, since it will fall on a Sunday, then I will spend the afternoon with my best friend. I call her ‘Chomma’ and she is an amazing soul… Perhaps watch series later in the evening. Yeah, that’s it.
