PELAGIAIT Shikongo, a 27-year-old shop assistant from Oshakati, is going to the 2010 Fifa World Cup in South Africa.

Along with Timoteus Aron from Ondangwa and Swakopmund resident Shatona Ndepofin, Shikongo is the lucky winner of an all-expenses-paid trip to watch a live 2010 Fifa World Cup match in South Africa. The three are among the five winners of the Coca-Cola ‘You and Who’ consumer promotion.Shikongo says she is overjoyed at winning a ticket to the World Cup, as she is an avid soccer fan and has never been to South Africa before. Shikongo, who admits that she entered the competition so many times that she lost count, says she will be taking her boyfriend Martin with her to South Africa. When asked what team she supports, she said, ‘I support all the teams, in general I just support the game of soccer. My family is as excited as I am about winning the tickets, I feel good’.Sharing the joy is 44-year-old Manchester City fan Timoteus Aron, who is employed at an Ondangwa roads depot. As if winning a trip to the World Cup was not enough, Aron’s partner is expecting their third set of twins soon.He expressed joy at having won the trip and has his fingers crossed for South Africa winning the World Cup this year. Shatona Ndepofin, a 34-year-old bartender from Swakopmund, is the third winner in the ‘You and Who’ promotion.
