Shell yet to resume output

LONDON – Royal Dutch Shell said yesterday it has yet to resume output at an oilfield in Nigeria shut after attacks by militants, but added an assessment of the site before any restart could begin as early as this week.

“Hopefully, pre-resumption assessment for the EA field could start as early this week,” said Caroline Wittgen, a company spokeswoman in London.
