Sheehama murder case application postponed

Seven people accused of murder in connection with the death of Sheehama Matheus (24) at Walvis Bay made their third appearance in the Walvis Bay Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.

The bail application for six of the accused has been postponed to 28 November.

The seventh accused, Michael Awaseb, indicated that he does not wish to apply for bail.

Mervin Wapota, Jimmy Gaeb, Romano Paulus, Enrico Gomachab, Jessica !Gaes, Michael Awaseb and Moses Kandume will remain in custody.

The accused were arrested in August after Sheehama’s body was discovered by passers-by at Independence Beach, Walvis Bay.

He had disappeared from a house at Kuisebmond on 27 July, following an attack at a braai
