‘Sex And The City’ star Cynthia Nixon and her partner Christine Marinoni yesterday showed off their son for the first time.
Education activist Christine (43) who has been in a relationship with Cynthia since 2004, gave birth to Max Ellington Nixon-Marinoni in New York on Monday.The couple had not announced they were expecting a child and have not revealed any details of the child fs biological father.Cynthia (44) who plays Miranda Hobbes in the hit series, already has two children – a daughter aged 15 and a son, eight – from a relationship with English professor Danny Mozes. They split in 2003.Cynthia and Christine met at an education rally in 2002 and became a couple two years later. They announced their engagement at a marriage equality rally in New York in 2009. Cynthia said recently: ‘In terms of sexual orientation, I don’t feel I’ve changed.’I’d been with men all my life and I’d never fallen in love with a woman. But when I did, it didn’t seem strange. I’m just a woman in love with another woman.’In 2008, the actress revealed she had beaten breast cancer which was diagnosed during a routine mammogram two years earlier.
