Seven companies win tenders worth N$596m for hospital food

Seven companies have been awarded procurement contracts worth about N$596 million for the supply and delivery of meals at state hospitals.

According to a notice by the Central Procurement Board of Namibia (CPBN), the seven companies are a joint venture between Nutri Food Pty and Trade Vest Holding Group Pty Ltd, which was awarded a contract of about N$160 million to supply institutions in the Khomas region.

“James and Young Enterprises was awarded three lots in the //Kharas, Hardap and Omaheke regions, worth a combined N$39,48 million,” the board said in a media advertisement.

According to the CPBN, the //Kharas tender is worth N$25,57 million, while the Hardap tender is for N$5,94 million, and the Omaheke contract is worth N$4,97 million.

The contract to supply the Erongo region, worth about N$27,6 million, was awarded to Tuthikameni Pamwe Investment CC of Windhoek.

The CPBN awarded the contract to deliver food to institutions in the Otjozondjupa region, worth about N$35 million, to Ongurukena Investment Fourteen CC trading as Moringa Meals Chesa Mama of Otjiwarongo, while Stream Two Properties CC of Omuthiya landed the contract for the Oshikoto and Oshana regions, worth a combined N$154 million.

The Oshikoto contract is worth N$57,65 million, while the Oshana tender is worth N$96 million.

“Oshipaya Investment CC of Windhoek won the tender to supply the Kavango East and West regions for N$38,42 million, and the Omusati region for N$21,5 million, giving the three regions a combined total of N$60 million,” the board said.

ATR Investments CC of Windhoek was awarded the third-highest contract of N$121,63 million after clinching the supply of the Kunene region for N$52 million, and the Ohangwena region for N$N$69,5 million.
