Security guard found dead with multiple stab wounds at Rundu

A female security guard’s remains were discovered with multiple stab wounds at Rundu’s Ndama sewerage plant.

According to Kavango East crime investigations coordinator deputy commissioner Bonifatius Kanyetu, the incident is suspected to have occurred on Sunday between 21h00 and 23h00 at the Ndama or Tumweneni informal settlement areas.

The woman, identified as Gissela Kapapero (46), was last seen on Sunday after knocking off from work at Tanhwe Security Services at around 06h00.

Kanyetu said her neighbours thought they had seen her at around 18h00 on Sunday, however, her remains were only discovered in the early hours of Monday by a bypasser at the sewerage plant, who later alerted the police.

Kanyetu said Kapapero was allegedly raped before she was murdered.

So far, a 38-year-old man, believed to be her boyfriend, has been arrested in connection with Kapapero’s murder.
Her next of kin have been informed of her death.
