Heinko Schmidt was the overall winner of the ABInBev Monhtly Medal Golf Competition which was held at the Windhoek Golf and Country Club over the weekend.
Schmidt, who also won the C division, had a gross score of 83 and a nett score of 70.
It was the second of eight monthly medal competitions, with results in the overall series to be used to determine the medal champion of the year.
Fergusson Paulse won the A division with a gross score of 79 and a nett score of 71, followed by Travor Mabugu with a gross score of 83 and a nett score of 75, while Willem Serfontein came third with a gross score of 86 and a nett score of 77.
Toady Gurirab won the B division with a nett score of 72 and a gross score of 84; followed by Rochel Celliers and Anton Seibeb who both had a nett score of 76 and a gross score of 89.
Louw Lotter came second in the C division behind Schmidt with a nett score of 72 and a gross score of 90, while Desmond van der Merwe came third with a nett score of 75 and a gross score of 93.
Hansina Hinda won the Women’s division with a nett score of 77 and a gross score of 100, followed by Lucy Mohale with a nett score of 77 and a gross score of 107, and Jolene van Schoor with a nett score of 79 and a gross score of 122.
There were also four nearest-to-the-pin winners with Brendan Britten winning on the third hole, George Vink on the ninth hole, Graeme Fransman on the 13th hole and Gustav Jung on the 17th hole.
Three lucky draw prizes sponsored by Fanie Oosthuizen of World of Hygiene and Namibia were also raffled.
At the prizegiving ceremony Bertus Damon also received the 2023 Stableford Order of Merit trophy.
The club will host the Central Open sponsored by ABInBev this coming weekend.
