Minister of urban and rural development James Sankwasa on Wednesday bid farewell to his bodyguard and driver who died in a car accident last Friday.
Sankwasa was joined by his deputy minister, executive directors, management and staff of the ministry.
“Today we are gathered for a vigil in memory of warrant officer Lukas Nangolo and warrant officer George Shiluwa, who passed away,” reads a statement.
The statement says Nangolo had served the ministry as Sankwasa’s driver while Shiluwa had been his bodyguard since March.
“May their souls rest in eternal peace,” reads the statement.
