San elder Oma /Kunta and Namibian conservationist Marlice van Vuuren will be heading to the Harmony Summit, hosted by The King’s Foundation in Gloucestershire, United Kingdom (UK).
The pair on Wednesday attended visa interviews ahead of their participation at the summit.
The event, which will welcome indigenous leaders and environmental experts from around the world, is expected to be attended by King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
At the heart of the summit is a celebration of traditional knowledge systems, sustainable living practices, and humanity’s connection with nature. Representing Namibia’s first people, /Kunta will share insights rooted in centuries of coexistence with the land, offering a unique perspective on living in harmony with the earth.
“This is more than a journey,” the N/a’an ku sê Foundation shared in a statement on Thursday.
“It is a moment of global recognition for the wisdom carried by Namibia’s first people.”
