MOSCOW – Russia conducted a military exercise yesterday to practice crushing an attempt by terrorists to seize nuclear weapons.
The maneuvers, which NATO observers were invited to monitor, were held in the northern Murmansk region and involved about 700 army troops and several hundred workers from various law-enforcement agencies, according to the Interfax and ITAR-Tass news agencies.
