MORE than 6 000 people, close to 8 000, according to some, flocked to the Mole Beach at Swakopmund on Sunday night for a free concert by Tyrese Gibson and Sticky Fingaz.

Both are actors in the Hollywood movie ‘Flight of the Phoenix’, which is in its last week of filming in the Namib Desert. At the age of 19, Tyrese released his self-titled debut album, which reached platinum status.In January 2000, he garnered an American Music Award for ‘Favorite New Artist’.Sticky Fingaz is probably best known as front man for rap group Onyx, but has also made a name for himself as a bona fide solo rap star and actor.After his appearances on Eminem’s Marshall Mathers LP and on Biohazard’s New World Disorder, Sticky released his first solo album in 2000 entitled Black Trash: The Autobiography of Kirk Jones.At the age of 19, Tyrese released his self-titled debut album, which reached platinum status.
