Roads Authority urges safety amid Arandis roadworks

The Roads Authority (RA) has urged motorists to drive with caution on the road between Swakopmund and Arandis, where maintenance work is currently underway.

In a statement issued Saturday, the authority says the road is about 5km from Arandis and the work involves the repair of a “damaged culvert”.

The RA says all necessary traffic signs have been installed, and a 24/7 traffic accommodation system is in place to ensure the continued movement of vehicles.

Motorists have been urged to reduce speed, obey temporary road signs and follow instructions when approaching the area.

The authority says the measures are aimed at protecting road users and workers while maintenance continues.

“The RA appreciates your cooperation as we work to restore and maintain safe road infrastructure,” the statement reads.
