Rick Ross, Julia Boss Lady rub shoulders in Angola

AMERICAN music heavyweight and one of the world’s most famous rappers Rick Ross seems to be slowly but surely getting in touch with his African roots as he is being spotted on the African continent more often than any other major American superstar.

The Maybach Music label founder was recently seen at an event in Angola spending time with Namibia’s very own creative entrepreneur and public relations guru Julia Boss Lady.

According to Julia Boss Lady, Rick Ross is planning on making her a brand ambassador for his multimillion-dollar campaign company, Belaire.

“He wants me to be the face of his Belaire drink and promote it in southern Africa. Rick’s business manager, Sia, is the one who told him about me and the work I did, and he wanted me to work with and also help him sign two African artists to his music label,” she said.

Julia Boss Lady added that artists can reach her if they are really talented and she can forward their content to Rick Ross for a potential life-changing opportunity.

She also said after meeting Rick Ross, she realised that he is a great person.

“Instead of sleeping during Easter, Rick went out to the poorest parts of Luanda and handed out money to the less fortunate, while celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He is really a humanitarian and really wants to give back, trying to empower and promote Africans,” she said.

Her ability to get into rooms that only a few can, makes her one of the best brand promoters in the country and she says that it is not really that difficult to do.

“You got to have the right type of network. I travel a lot and go from one small opportunity to another collaboration here and there. Before you can get something from someone, try and see what you can offer them first. Anybody can meet celebrities, it’s not that hard, but what impact did you have or what impression did you give them after meeting them. I started linking up with South Africans, then met Nigerian superstars, but now I ‘m meeting American celebrities and building my portfolio without even touching down in America yet,” she said.
