Reefton licence stretched NAMIBIA has approved a 12-month extension

Reefton licence stretched NAMIBIA has approved a 12-month extension to Reefton Mining NL on two exclusive prospecting licences comprising the Skeleton Coast Diamond and Mineral Sands projects.

The two sites are located on the northwest coast of Namibia. Reefton Mining NL reportedly issued a statement on Tuesday saying the licences were due to expire on November 22 2006, but have now been extended to November 22 2007, prior to which the company can apply for a mining licence. The extension of the licences was conditional upon Reefton’s relinquishment of a third exclusive prospecting licence, EPL 2698.Reefton is also obliged to provide a detailed relinquishment report prior to its expiry.According to the statement, Reefton considered EPL 2698 to be the least prospective of the three licences making up the project area. The two remaining prospecting licences cover a total of 160 kilometres along the northwest coast of Namibia.NampaReefton Mining NL reportedly issued a statement on Tuesday saying the licences were due to expire on November 22 2006, but have now been extended to November 22 2007, prior to which the company can apply for a mining licence. The two remaining prospecting licences cover a total of 160 kilometres along the northwest coast of Namibia.Nampa
