Fuchs Motor Oil through its retail outlet, Namibia Lubricants, has decided to get involved in the 2024 motor racing season by sponsoring the Bisschoff clan.

The clan races in various codes, ranging from circuit racing to rallies.

Henry Bisschoff and his sons, Hein and Ewald, together with his grandchild, Craig, are regulars in the various motor racing codes.

MP Pretorius from Namibia Lubricants believes there is no better platform to invest in as a sponsor than that of the Bisschoff racing family.

Pretorius says since Fuchs Motor Oil and the Bisschoffs are both family-operated entities in the automotive industry, it was just a formality to enter such a sponsorship.

He says it is good for family-based companies to work together when it comes to growing motorsport.

“We just get involved to prove that our oil can handle high temperatures on the tracks – not only in normal vehicles, but in racing cars as well,” he says.

“Fuchs focuses on the best base oils, and that is why we are not the cheapest on the market. Our products have proven themselves over and over again,” he says.

Pretorius says some engines have never been opened to be overalled due to friction.

Bisschoff senior says the family’s relationship with Namibia Lubricants comes a long way.

He says lubricants is the most important part of any engine, since this is where the most friction takes place.

Race cars’ engines run at extremely high revolutions, increasing not only temperatures, but also friction, and therefore a quality oil is needed, he says.

The Bisshoff racing team ended their 2023 season on a high note, taking medals home on several occasions.
