UP to three to four years ago, a financial audition was held for the public to question and assist where they could, with suggestions and ideas on how our money would be spent for that particular year.
How about reinstituting that policy? The Municipality seems to have had a financial crisis where the Financial Manager has been dismissed. Would it not be a good idea to have a public meeting to let us, the ratepayers, know what is going on and why, how and where our money has gone or has been spent? It would be very nice to know how much is in the Desalination Buffer Account, as it was standing at 11 million after five years. Now after 10/11 years, with accumulated interest, it should be standing at around 25/30 million.May we please have our public meeting so that we may learn how our money is being spent and what the priorities are and also that there may be public input.Keith Wearne Walvis BayWould it not be a good idea to have a public meeting to let us, the ratepayers, know what is going on and why, how and where our money has gone or has been spent?
