Protea Hotels launch online food delivery system

THE PROTEA Hotels in Namibia are making things a little more comfortable and convenient for customers and fans of their kitchen, with their new online food delivery service called Eat@United Restaurants.

With this, clients are able to have meals from six different restaurants delivered to their doorstep from as little as N$25 or free if your order is for more than N$150.

Eat@United Restaurants was launched in February for the Protea Hotels, which are a subsidiary of the United Africa Group that is active in many sectors such as hospitality, real estate, property development, financial services and renewable energy.

According to their site, the aim for this new food delivery service is to offer clients a unique blend of local cuisine and premium casual dining services.

By creating a profile on the Eat@United site, patrons can book tables or order food from the Furstenhof Restaurant & Bar and Top Restaurant & Bar in Windhoek, Neptune’s Coffee Shop & Aquarius Restaurant in Walvis Bay, the Cresta Pandu Restaurant and Bar in Ondangwa and Tafule Yaka Restaurant and Bar in Katima Mulilo.

The profiles they create help the Hotel to track their orders and make any necessary changes.

Protea Hotel sales and marketing executive Doris Gabone also said this new initiative is convenient for guests as they have multiple menus to choose from and that restaurants were located around the country to suit their needs.

“It’s a convenient and fast way of ordering,” she added.

The menus vary from location to location, but consist of meals such as lasagna, stews, sea food and deserts. The prices are affordable and the meals scrumptious, with a wide variety of options.
