Prosecutor general’s office mourns death of senior legal clerk

The Office of the Prosecutor General is mourning the death of senior legal clerk Johannes Kondjeleni who died on Saturday at the age of 34.

In a death notice issued on Sunday, the office describes him as a hardworking, dedicated, innovative and diligent clerk who carried out his duties with humility, commitment and excellence.

“He was not only a valued staff member, he was a good man. His passing leaves an ache in our hearts and a silence in our corridors. We mourn a colleague, a public servant, a brother in service and a soul whose presence mattered deeply,” the notice reads.

According to the notice, Kondjeleni joined the office on 1 May 2025 following a promotion. Prior to the promotion, he served in the Office of the Judiciary from 1 February 2020.

“As we grieve this painful loss, we are reminded of the words of scripture: ‘Be still, and know that I am God’,” it says.

The office extends condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.

“May his soul rest in eternal peace,” it says.
