Proflight Zambia landed at Hosea Kutako International Airport on its maiden flight between Namibia and Zambia, at 12h00 on Tuesday.
The landing was witnessed by stakeholders in the tourism and aviation sectors.
Among the dignitaries were Chief Mukuni of the Leya people from the Livingstone area and deputy minister of international relations and trade Jenelly Matundu.
According to the Namibia Airports Company (NAC), Proflight Zambia will service Windhoek three times a week on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
“It will depart Lusaka at 08h30 and Livingstone at 09h55, arriving in Windhoek at 11h35. For the return flight, departures from Windhoek will be at 12h20, landing in Livingstone at 13h55 and reaching Lusaka at 15h20,” says the NAC statement.
