South African DJ and music producer Kabelo Motsamai, professionally known as Prince Kaybee, has been invited as the main act and headliner of the Journèe Sportive Championship.

The sports and entertainment event is set to take place at the Hage Geingob Stadium on 27 April.

According to the organisers, Prince Kaybee is set to perform his newest singles ‘Amaphiko Ezono’, ‘Inkubulo’ and ‘Oh Boy’, among others.

One of the organisers of the event Paolo Gaoeb, popularly known as DJ Paolo, says the first ever Journèe Sportive Championship is organised by Journèe Sports Advisors Namibia.

“We expect to reach our objective of introducing our agency Journèe Sports Advisors Namibia to the world, therefore, expecting a great magnitude of attendees,” says DJ Paolo.

He adds that the aim is to have Namibian sport, regardless of the category of sport, recognised on a global level.

“The idea of combining sport with entertainment serves more as motivation to attend the event. With observations on past events, we’ve realised that entertainment brings different people, irrespective of tribe or religion, together much faster,” says DJ Paolo, adding that Namibians love a bit of entertainment.

“Get ready for an exhilarating experience as the upcoming event promises to be a celebration of athleticism, entertainment and community spirit.”

There will be a soccer match during the day, where onlookers will witness the thrill of the game as top teams clash on the field.

The first game being played will be Windhoek Gymnasium against Jan Möhr.

“And our last game will be Khomas Nampol against Young Brazilian. The competition will be fierce, showcasing the best of Namibian soccer talent,” says DJ Paolo.

He says attendees should prepare to be entertained by electrifying performances from renowned artists and to get ready to groove to the beats of Prince Kaybee and other local artists, like DJ Spuzza and DJ Vuyo, as they will set the stage on fire with their incredible music.

There will also be stalls available.

“Explore a variety of stalls offering delicious food, exciting services and Fifa fun. Whether you’re craving a snack or looking for some entertainment, there’s something for everyone at the event.”

According to DJ Paolo, Journèe Sports Advisors Namibia emerged on the scene this year.

“With a shared passion for sport and community engagement, we set out to create a platform that celebrates Namibian athletes, while nurturing local talent,” he says, adding that the aim is to unite people from diverse communities through the universal language of sport.

“We’re more than just an event organiser; we’re a movement. Our goal is to bring people together from different backgrounds and communities, fostering unity and camaraderie. Through our events, we celebrate the remarkable achievements of Namibian athletes and provide a platform for local talent to shine.

“Join us as we embark on this journey of empowerment, inclusivity and sporting excellence. Together, let’s celebrate our Namibian spirit and embrace the power of sport to unite us all,” adds DJ Paolo.

The event starts at 10h00, promising a day filled with excitement, camaraderie and unforgettable moments. Early bird tickets are available for N$80 each.
