Namibia’s national rugby captain Prince !Gaoseb has expanded his involvement in sport beyond the playing field with the launch of XKI Strength, a fitness app.
XKI Strength is available on both the Apple Store and Google Play Store. The app offers users a seven-day free trial, with subscription packages catering to different training needs and budgets.
!Gaoseb says the app is a general fitness and performance-based app designed to help people train smarter, move better and perform at a higher level, whether they are everyday gym-goers or athletes.
He says the user can expect structured workouts that combine strength, conditioning and performance-based training, adding that the app provides clear programming, guided sessions and progress tracking, so users always know what to do and why they’re doing it.
“XKI Strength is built for people who want more than random workouts. Whether they train for sport, aesthetics or just to feel stronger, fitter and more capable in daily life, our target audience are those who value structure, efficiency and results. We cater to fitness enthusiasts, athletes who aspire to make sport their profession and active individuals who prioritise longevity and overall health,” !Gaoseb says.
!Gaoseb says fitness is important for getting ahead in life, performing well and feeling confident in yourself. He says regular training not only makes you stronger, but it also helps you be more disciplined, stay focused and feel better overall.
“I chose fitness because it changes how people live their lives every day, how they move, think, perform and become mindful. Additionally, I’m a professional rugby player, and I think I would have done better in the past if I had had a tool like this to help me along the way. There will always be team coaches and strength and conditioning coaches available if you’re on a team, but what makes an athlete outstanding is going the extra mile by yourself. That’s where a tool like the XKI Strength app comes in handy. It can help you improve in areas where you may be lacking that others don’t see,” he says.
!Gaoseb adds that through the app he is giving back to sport, as sport has done so much for him, taking him to places he never thought he would go.
!Gaoseb says the app is designed for people who want to improve across all areas of fitness and enjoy the process of becoming more capable and confident in their bodies. He says this is an initiative to get both adults and young people excited about fitness.
“The goal is to get children off the street and in charge of their lives, to create jobs and cultivate a society that sees fitness not as a luxury but rather as a necessity. I strongly stand by the saying ‘health is wealth’, and this is me playing my part in it. The app seeks to improve fitness and athletic performance, provide structure and consistency in training, promote long-term physical health and injury prevention, and make high-quality training accessible to everybody,” he says.
