The Office of the Prime Minister has issued a statement to dismiss allegations that prime minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila is affiliated to a certain ‘Saara Airlines’ account on Facebook.
“The Office of the Prime Minister has noted with great concern the existence of a Facebook page under the name ‘Saara Airlines’ that bears the pictures of the honourable prime minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila, suggesting the prime minister owns an airline under the above-mentioned name,” the statement issued on Thursday reads.
The statement further affirms that Kuugongelwa-Amadhila and her office are not associated with this airline.
“The prime minister has always upheld the highest standards of ethics and integrity in all her dealings, and has never compromised or failed to protect the state or public interests,” the statement reads.
